The Joint Meeting of the MIHS and the ASSE was held on January 22, 2007 at Construction Association of Michigan (CAM) in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. There were 18 attendees.

Ellen Lackey, CIH, CSP, CPE of DaimlerChrysler presented "Advanced Process - A Proactive Approach to Occupational Safety & Health at DaimlerChrysler" at the first meeting of the new year.

She spoke about the key elements to DCX's Advance Safety Program that lead to their success with marked injury reductions over the past five years. DCX won the NSC Green Cross Award in 2004 as a result of their collaborative efforts as a safety team.

She discussed such elements as DCX’s Advance Safety Guidelines with examples, photos; Digital mockup reviews, risk analyses methods, cost effective engineering controls, and IH and ergonomics programs at DCX.
