Professor Awarded Excellence in Teaching
The Eugene
Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Wayne State
University (Detroit, MI) has awarded Peter O. Warner, PhD
the Excellence in Teaching Award for part-time faculty. He
is a professor in the Occupational and Environmental Health
Sciences (OEHS) program in the college's Department of Health
Care Sciences.
Dr. Warner has
been associated with the OEHS program for more than 30 years
as teacher, student advisor, and administrator. A former Director
of the Wayne County Air Pollution Laboratory, he has incorporated
his professional and analytical chemistry experience into
his courses. Dr. Warner has taught air sample and analysis,
optical microscopy, industrial hygiene practice, periodical
literature, various directed studies and essays/theses. He
also has coordinated and taught in the OEHS seminar and discussion
program. Dr. Warner consistently received excellent ratings
from course evaluations and has advised/mentored many OEHS
students during his years of teaching and contributed to their
career success.
